ELISE publishes its strategic research agenda

On 12 May 2021 the European Learning and Intelligent Systems Excellence (ELISE) consortium published Creating a European AI Powerhouse: A Strategic Research Agenda. The full PDF is here.
The agenda sets out a roadmap for AI that is technically advanced, robust in deployment and aligned with social values — themes spanning security and privacy, explainability, trustworthiness and certification, integration across systems, and ethics and societal impact. It connects those themes to ELISE’s research programmes and to the wider ELLIS network. FCAI’s announcement of the publication is here.
Jessica Montgomery led production of the document as Strategic Research Agenda Adviser to ELISE, with support from Neil Lawrence and colleagues across Aalto, Amsterdam and the ELLIS/ELISE programme leads.
