Neil Lawrence, appointed a member of the Centre for Data Ethics and Innovation advisory board in January 2022, later became its interim chair. He chaired the board at its meeting on 7 March 2023, the first meeting whose minutes record him in that role.
The board held its last meeting on 5 September 2023 and closed on 9 September 2023. Neil’s reflection on the work, as member and interim chair, is on the Responsible Technology Adoption Unit blog.

The CMA appointed Neil Lawrence as an independent digital expert advising the Digital Markets Unit. The group has since been disbanded.
