Biography
Siyuan is an AI Scientist at Prior Labs. She completed her PhD with Ferenc Huszár at the University of Cambridge and Bernhard Schölkopf at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems. She was a fellow under the Cambridge–Tübingen fellowship and funded by a Premium Research Studentship. Her research interest lies in the intersection of causal inference and machine learning, including how to move from traditional prediction-based ML algorithms to non-i.i.d. ML tasks for more robust and fair algorithms. Previously, she studied Machine Learning (MSc) at UCL and Mathematics (BA + MSc) at Cambridge. She also worked as a quantitative strategist at Goldman Sachs International.
