Biography
Friedrich is a PhD student in Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Florian Hollfelder, working on machine learning for enzyme optimisation, directed evolution, and single-cell sequencing. He previously visited ML@CL from the Technical University of Munich to write his M.Sc. thesis, supervised by Carl Henrik Ek and Markus Kaiser, on probabilistic machine learning and deep generative models.
