The AI moment (executive framing)
- The “AI moment” was a branding + investment shift: modern machine learning became “AI”, and expectations jumped ahead of delivery reality.
- Don’t confuse intelligent systems (scaled decision-making) with intelligent entities (robot-people).
- For leaders, the question is practical: what decisions are being automated, with what data, and who bears the downside when it’s wrong?
Four executive questions (default frame)
- What decision are we changing?
- What information does it require (and what’s missing)?
- How can it fail (and how will we notice early)?
- Who is accountable (and what is the escalation path)?
